  End mills and tapered end mills have been Conical Tool Company's specialty for over 60 years. Conical has not only been a main manufacturer of carbide and high speed steel end mills throughout the U.S.A., but one of the chief innovators of the end mill industry since it's founding in 1944. We have continued producing new and highly successful cutting tools for dozens of cutting tool applications, such as, the new "OOI" out-of-index carbide end mills, 22 new sizes of "special metrics" carbide end mills, and 17 new sizes of diamond coated rib tools added recently to our ever expanding end mill catalog.
  Conical has always welcomed the chance to produce end mills to your own specifications. We have over-runs on many end mill specials produced for others. Check with us early, we may have your answer in our stock room.   If that isn't enough, we added over 60 different sizes of "carbide miniature" end mills, and 118 various sizes of carbide rib end mills. Our experise also includes 12 different sizes of "automotive tapers" taperede end mills used by the automotive industry, heavy construction vehicles, recreational ATV's, buses, snowmobiles, and golf carts. They are "left hand spiral" geometry endmills for reaming "through-holes".These are very well designed tapered end mills.

  Conical Tool Company has kept pace in this ever changing world of CNC end mill manufacturing by investing in numerous CNC machine centers. The high-tech CNC machinery has greatly enhanced our ability to achive consistancy, repeatablity, and durability of all of the carbide and high speed steel end mills that we produce. The strict tolerences that the industry and our customers demand have been strictly maintained by our quality control and experienced employees. Some of the high-tech CNC machines can be seen on the "what's new" page on this website. Other additions to our CNC quality include various TruTech machine centers which have the proven capability of the type of quality we here at Conical Tool demand.

  At Conical Tool, we have the distinct advantage of having quality employees with experience and in-shop training few companies offer. Most of our present employees on the production floor have 20-30 years each of end mill production under their belts. We believe that says volumes for how we stay ahead of the crowd. Training the right people has turned out to be a great asset when one considers the quality differences in today's end mill manufacturing environment. Nothing comes close to the trust we have in the abilities and experience we have in our shop.

  Many companies have unique needs for their applications. We realise that the miriad of end mills we offer here at Conical Tool need charts and technical data to help you decide which end mills best suite your needs. We also have RPM and feedrate charts to help with your decision. Things like draft angle per side, taper angle, tip configurations, flute length, and shank diameter specifications can be confusing. So we have added a full page of all this information on the "technical information" page on this website to assist you.   All high speed steel Conical end mills are produced from premium grade, high speed steels, heat treated to a high Rockwell, for shock and abrasion resistance. Carbide material is premium micro-grain carbide.
